CTE is a study and fellowship centre for theological education which functions as a ministry of Belfast Bible College and is associated, through BBC, with the Queens University Belfast for the awarding of post-graduate degrees.
It exists to serve those who are engaged in delivering theological education in various forms and in various situations across the world. It does so in three main ways:
- Providing courses which become occasions for the sharing of ideas and experiences in theological education and practice. » Courses
- Being a location for resources for study and thought about theological education. » Resources
- Holding seminars and public lectures on the task of theological education. » News
We believe that those engaged in delivering theological education are key people for the future of the Church because they train, influence and develop its future leaders and Christian servants. As theological education expands, with the founding of more colleges and theological education programmes, and with the increase in academic level and university affiliations, we believe we need to invest in academic excellence, professional practical training and a deep concern for spiritual development in our students.
